A good start

Before you start writing and thinking, how do you write an essay?

What is the main topic?

What do you know about the subject matter?

Here you need to think in terms of titles, authors, distribution, and just as importantly, attitude.

You should also make notes on how you can accomplish the task and topic.

What do you know about the period?

What is fact and fiction?

What structure and character designs do you want to include?

Pick three points based on what you know so you have specific angles to work from.

Elaboration - study of the topic and its characteristics.

Conclusion - reflections on the topic.

Look for concrete and figurative examples, abstract reflections, and include text from the assignment itself.

Genre features of an essay
